PROFILE
Ms. Nimra Farooq was born in Lahore, Pakistan. She received her primary and secondary education from the Army Public School Junior Campus and the Army Public School Azam Garrison respectively. In her secondary school, she was appointed as the House Captain and also bagged the 3rd position in National DAWN Spelling Bee Competition 2008. In her matriculation, she secured 7th position in FBISE and topped her school. After doing her intermediate in Pre-Medical from the Punjab College, Lahore, she decided to pursue her field of interest, English Literature, in Kinnaird College for Women, Lahore where she is currently studying. She is the member of Debating Society and Rangers Society, and is also a Senior Guide in Pakistan Girl Guides’ Association. Ms. Farooq has served in the capacity of an intern at International Centre for Pakistani Writing in English. She writes articles for various news outlets, and is also a member of Democratic Students’ Alliance.
